Ford has announced the new 2011 Ford Fiesta RS WRC made its first global public appearance at the 2010 Paris Motor Show. The Ford Fiesta RS WRC is powered by a 1.6-litre Ford EcoBoost turbo engine, developed in collaboration with French tuner Pipo Moteur.

The 2011 Ford Fiesta RS WRC preview model has been finished in a striking blue and grey livery, specially developed for the show by Ford of Europe's design team. The car’s EcoBoost engine, which features direct petrol injection, was also developed by Ford and M-Sport.

The 2011 Ford Fiesta RS WRC has already been tested for 3000 km in Britain and France and will head to Spain for additional testing. The Ford Fiesta RS WRC will be driven by for BP Ford Abu Dhabi World Rally Team drivers Mikko Hirvonen and Jarmo Lehtinen and team-mates Jari-Matti Latvala and Miikka Anttila.
